And yet, the bee flies, because it doesn’t care what the world thinks is impossible. That’s where we begin. ‘Mauri’ (Bee), became our name not just for its symbolism, but for its defiance. A small creature, underestimated. But relentless. Collective. Powerful. At Mauri E, we carry the same spirit.
Buzzing Beyond Borders
The conception of Mauri E began with a simple idea that storytelling, when grounded in truth and empathy, can change lives. Founded in Sydney by a collective of young creatives with roots in Nepal, we set out to build a platform where stories that often go unheard, of international students, migrants, mental health warriors, and underrepresented communities, can be told with dignity and cinematic depth.
From our first short film to a bold campaign like Mind Matters: Cinema for Change, Mauri E has grown into a voice for the unheard, a canvas for the unseen, and a bridge between cultures.
